We would like to congratulate our 2015 Scholarship winners.  Each student received a scholarship in the amount of $1,500.  The recipients were in attendance at our June luncheon to receive their awards.  Below is an impressive list of their accomplishments.

Fanny Huang
Fanny is a 2015 graduate of Brooklyn High School, graduating 8th in her class with an accumulative grade point average of over 4.1. During her four years in high school, she has played volleyball and ran track and field. Fanny has also been a member of Key Club, National Art Honor Society, and National Honor Society, along with being a member of the Yearbook Club. She traveled to Europe with staff and students at Brooklyn High School. Fanny plans on continuing this quest for knowledge abroad during her college career by traveling to Haiti, Middle East, and China. She will be attending Case Western Reserve University in the fall and plans on studying Biology/Pre-Med.

Samantha Newby
Samantha is a 2015 graduate of Brooklyn High School, graduating 5th in her class with an accumulative grade point average of over 4.2. During her four years in high school, she has been a part of the varsity soccer team, varsity basketball team, and varsity softball team. Samantha has also been a member of the marching and concert bands. She was a member of the Drama Department, National Art Honor Society and National Honor Society. She has spent several summers volunteering at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Samantha will be attending Ohio State University in the fall and plans on studying Computer Engineering.

Shawn Zubek
Shawn is a 2015 graduate of Holy Name High School, graduating with an accumulative grade point average of over 3.1.  During his four years in high school, he has been a member of the marching band and varsity baseball team.  Shawn has spent countless hours volunteering time helping elderly neighbors, serving meals at church, and gathering donations for those less fortunate.  Shawn will be attending Walsh University in the fall and plans on studying Nursing.
