Hampton Inn Brooklyn was one of the Chamber’s founding members, back in 2002, and has been active ever since. The manager of that location, Chris Ellis, has volunteered countless hours serving on our Board of Directors, volunteering time at our events, and participating in our Picnic in the Park planning committee. In addition, Chris has recently stepped up to become Treasurer when we had an unplanned vacancy to fill. Hampton Inn Brooklyn has supported all of the Chamber’s events through sponsorships, along with taking out website banner ads. Hampton Inn Brooklyn was one of our Gold sponsors the last two years for Picnic in the Park, the highest level of sponsorship for that event. They have donated hotel stay certificates, as well, to be used as prizes at our various events. Chris Ellis and the Hampton Inn Brooklyn have been integral in the success of the Chamber and its various events. The Brooklyn Chamber and community are lucky to have such a supportive business in the area!

Brooklyn Adults Activities Center, Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities was also one of the Chamber’s founding members, back in 2002. David Nodge, manager of the Brooklyn location, has served on the Board of Directors, chaired the Scholarship and Education committee, and recently, became the Chamber’s Vice President when asked to fill an unexpected vacancy. David has volunteered countless hours at all of our events, donated prizes, and solicited donations from other local businesses. He has been extremely supportive of the Chamber’s mission and in making our events a success. David Nodge and the Brooklyn Adults Activities Center, Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, is a true asset for both the Chamber and the Brooklyn community!
The mission of the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to support and empower people with developmental disabilities to live, learn, work and play in the community. This is accomplished through the full range of services that they provide, everything from in-home early intervention programs for very young children and their families to leisure programs for seniors and specialized therapies (speech-language, occupational and physical), psychological services, support administration, family resources and respite care, supported living, vocational training, community employment, rehabilitation engineering and crisis intervention.
